I am here today to tell you why Dexter Dunn is best driver in New Zealand.

Dexter is the best driver in New Zealand because he is still only learning because he is only 21. Dexter’s dad is  Robert Dunn, he is a trainer and a good driver so Dexter learns a lot from him.

Dexter is the best trainer in New Zealand because all trainers want Dexter to driver their horses!

He works Gran dalgety training  his horses and driving them . The Dalgety  stables have a lot of horses for Dexter to drive many other trainers and  owners  want Dexter to drive their horses meaning Dexter usually has a full race card  and travels all over New  zealand driving.

 Dexter was the youngest junior driver to win 100 races in a season  and the first  junior driver to win $1 million  dollars. He has won over 608 races and only been driving for 5 Years!

That is why he is the best driver in New Zealand Dexter Dunn.

Winter Sports....Football

On Monday a few weeks ago we had football at the Domain in Ashburton and we versed all of the schools in Ashburton.  We played Netherby, Wakanui and Longbeach.  We won two games and drew two games. I think we went good.  I enjoyed playing football at winter tournament.

My tin foil Sculpture

This is my tin foil sculpture.It is a gymnast doing the splits while in a handstands.I posed my sculpture this way because it it inspires me to try other gymnastics moves that I have never tried.I made my sculpture out of tin foil and the base is just out of a piece of wood that is painted red at the sides and blue at the top with the sides painted with white.

At school were focusing on the Rio Olympics and this is one of the art that we are doing for our art exhibition on Wednesday 21 of September 2016.My one is a person doing the splits.I call this the tinfoil person or art.

Putiputi

I like the look of putiputi. To get the flax ,you have say a pray so the flax will grow back. Then you wash your hands , then you cut the bottom flax on an angle and follow the steps.=)

Cheese puffs

Today 10Q made some cheese puffs and they were yummy.

Ingredients 

1/2 cup self-raising flour 

1 cups of grated cheese, any sort of hard cheese

1 egg beaten 

1/4 cup of milk

Method 

1. preheat the over to 180 C put flour into a large bowl.

2. Mix in all other ingredients using a wooden spoon, adding the milk last to blind.
3. Mix well to ensure even combination, particularly the flour and milk- the mixture should be quite sticky.
4. Flour a baking tray and set aside
5.Use a tablespoon to pop golf ball- Sized amounts onto the tray.
bake for approx. 10 minutes.
6. Cool on tray for five minutes then separate edges of each puff with knife from tray. Serve immediately.

I liked the part when i ate it. I did like the part when they went into the oven because it took to long. My group could of worked better getting ingredients.

Today we learned how to make Banana muffins. It was yummy and it's easy to make. I also wish that it had nuts on it because I think it will make it more tasty. We made it with Mrs. Markam and Ms. Zhong.

How To Do Equivalent Fractions 

For the last week of math with Mrs Jenkins, our math group has been learing how to do 

equivalent fractions. At first I wasn't to sure on how it worked but I got it the next day. This is a little clip

10Q Puti Puti

      On the 14th my class made Putiputi  it is harder than it looks.Before you start you have to do a karakia before you weave the flax and if you stand on it you will have very bad luck!I thought that was so easy but no you had to hold it tight or there would be gaps also the first one you make have to give it away but it was good fun.

Techie Brekkie

We had Techie Brekkie at school on Wednesday and we got to bring our parents to see what we have doing on our devise like blogger, Drive, Docs and all the google apps. Some kids in Mahi Tahi went but not everyone.

Speech finals

On thursday some of the kids done their speeches in front of the whole class nd some of the parents were their. The kids that went up was Allelie Rose Tipeti Tim Lockie Flynn Kael Ace And Geofrey and we listened to their speech some of us knew who was going to win. The Winner was lockie and I Knew he would've won and thats all

Chinese Tea

On Friday we made some Chinese tea while learning mandarin (NO NOT THE FRUIT!)and we got to drink two different teas. It was quite nice. We went from strong to stronger and they weren't that bad. Watch Te video to see what I mean and how to make it

Year 6 Manual 10Q

On the 30th August the  years 6's had manual.They made mini pizzas and plastic key rings I made a X. The part I like the most was making the key rings.

Turbo Touch

On the 5th September in room three Miss Kelly talked to us about turbo touch about the rules. Then we went out on the rugby field and trialed for the team only 10 people could get into each team there was a year 7/8 team and a year 5/6 team.
